Josh Nila is the Founder of PlusTutoringHSC, where he has spent the past 7 years delivering specialised maths tuition services to 70+ students across 20+ school across NSW. Josh currently holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechatronic Engineering with Honours Class 1 and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) with Distinction from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Josh has a passion for helping students excel in their maths studies, which he uses as a platform to help students discover that they are capable of achieving whatever they set their mind to.
Josh graduated high school in 2016 from Northern Beaches Christian School after completing the HSC courses; English Advanced, Mathematics Extension 2, Physics, Engineering Studies, and Software Design and Development. During high school Josh was heavily involved in the school community, participating in 5 musicals, was Head of the Student Production Team and Head of Video for the Student Media Team, whereby he played a large roll in the Student Leadership Team. He was also involved in many extracurriculars outside of school including playing field hockey for Manly, being a Junior at Bayview Golf Club and Head IRB Crewman for his Surf Life Saving patrol at Newport Beach.
Josh has a deep passion for helping students discover confidence in their studies. He works closely alongside his students to help them step outside their comfort zone and seek personal growth. He strongly believes that all students have what it takes to achieve great results, they just need to have the support and guidance to help them get there.
Josh and his partner, Chelsea, are currently pursuing their passion for mathematics education by developing an online maths platform for students preparing for their HSC. Their aim is to make high-quality maths teaching recourses more accessible to high school students across NSW.
